Volti auditions qualified singers on an ongoing basis.

Qualified singers will have:

• Substantial vocal training and musical education,
• High level of ensemble experience,
• Advanced sight-singing skills,
• A desire to work with new music ,
• A cooperative and energetic personality,
• Willingness and availability to commit to intense rehearsal schedule.
  

Schedule

Normally, Volti’s season consists of 3-4 concert cycles plus special events (like caroling opportunities and the annual Choral Institute weekend), beginning in October and continuing through May. Cycles can be from 2-5 performances. Rehearsals are generally held at the First Unitarian Church on Franklin Street (@ Geary) in San Francisco, during the weeks preceding each concert cycle. Rehearsals are three hours long and are on a combination of Sunday (5-8 pm), Monday, and/or Wednesday (7-10 pm) evenings. Dress rehearsals may be on other nights (including Fridays) depending on the availability of the venue. Singers are paid on a per service basis.
